Michel R. Langlois, MD, PhD
Prof. Dr. Michel Langlois, born October 1967, was trained in Medicine (1992), Clinical Chemistry (1997), and postdoctoral research (1997-2001) at the University of Ghent, Belgium. Since 2002, he is staff member and vice-director in the dept. of Laboratory Medicine, AZ St-Jan Hospital Bruges, Belgium.
Prof. Langlois is Past-President of the Royal Belgian Society of Laboratory Medicine and the Belgian Atherosclerosis Society, chair of Working Group-Guidelines of the European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (EFLM), and Editorial Board member of the journal Clinica Chimica Acta. His research has resulted in more than 100 publications in international peer-reviewed journals, 5 scientific awards, and 10 chapters in medical textbooks.
